About this site
This site starts from a confusion that has lasted twenty years in forums: compressors are chosen by comparing the litres of intake air printed on the box, which are not the air that reaches the tool. The site signs with its own name; who runs and provides it, with the details the law requires, is stated in the legal notice.
How we test and choose
We have not yet measured the compressors ourselves, and we say so on every page. We use only data published by manufacturers, with a link to the document and the date we read it. When a manufacturer states the delivered air at several pressures we use it; when it states only the intake air we flag it and make no estimate. Losses in air hoses and tank times are calculated with published methods and checked with automated tests. Compressors are ranked by the air they give your tool, never by commission. If the site proves useful, the next step is measuring delivered air with the tank fill-time method.
